Our School
Jae Hun Kim Taekwon-do Institute, one of the best known Taekwon-do schools in the country, has a location right here in the Seattle area. The institute was established in Boston in 1974 by Grand Master Jae H. Kim, who teaches daily at the school. Mr. Kim’s teaching style combines an analytical approach acquired through his studies at Western universities, with special expertise developed in the East by Taekwon-do masters. This unique teaching style has garnered much success for the institute which now operates 15 schools in the US, Singapore, Korea, Ireland, and China.
Our Seattle Branch was established in 2005. Headed by Ms. Gailyn Perrin, who was personally trained by Grandmaster Kim, we are proud to carry on the tradition of Taekwondo excellence established by Grandmaster Jae H. Kim.

Our Programs
Adult Classes
Our school is committed to teaching the complete system of Taekwon-do. We offer specialized classes, an expansive class schedule and balanced training!
Children & Junior Classes
We offer separate classes for kids at the Jae H. Kim Tae Kwon Do Institute. Our kid’s classes build strength, agility, and fitness levels. They also develop character and help with goal setting—not to mention they are FUN!
Tiny Tot Classes
Our Tiny Tot’s program is aimed at introducing your child to Tae Kwon Do.
Faq
I don’t have any prior experience in martial arts or Taekwon-do, do you take beginners?
We welcome beginners, as well as people with previous experience in Karate, Judo, Kung Fu, and other martial arts. All new students are given private introductory lessons so they can learn at their own pace in a one-to-one setting. Once the introductory lessons are finished, students can attend any of the regular classes on the schedule.
The first step is to visit the school and observe a class. At that time we can answer any questions you may have, give you a tour of the facilities, and go over our program options. Feel free to call or visit the school if you would like to find out more about what we have to offer.
We offer several different membership program options to meet your individual needs. Please visit the school to observe a class and we will be more than happy to go over each of our membership options to find the one that works best for you.
